GPA, Assaí, and Carrefour achieved the highest scores based on the analysis of publicly available data (Table 8). Among the 76 retailers with active websites, only three — Assaí, Carrefour, and GPA — reported conducting audits of their direct-supplier farms, according to information disclosed on their own websites.
The retailer MundialMix was the only company to respond to the questionnaire sent by Radar Verde. Although the company did so voluntarily, showing commendable engagement, it did not provide documentation to verify the existence or implementation of a social and environmental policy. Consequently, in accordance with the research methodology, its responses could not be scored.
